The people at home follow you

Built aboard Goat 2.0

Everything aboard, from anywhere.

Batteries, solar, tanks, wind, depth, position and alarms, live on the boat and from home. The phone, the iPad at the chart table and the browser all show the same cards.

Phone

Alarms that reach you anywhere.

iPad

The chart-table display.

Web

Check the boat from home or the office.

Alarms you set, that reach you anywhere.

Every alarm is yours to switch on, tune and silence. The anchor watch runs on the GOAT Device, so it keeps watching with no internet, and the phones on the boat Wi-Fi sound their own siren.

Anchor Guard

Sounds when the boat stays more than 0.5 m outside the circle for over 30 seconds, so a gust doesn't wake you.

On your chartplotter

Drop, set and raise the anchor from the B&G, Simrad or Lowrance screen at the helm.

AIS radar

Every AIS target around you, with CPA and TCPA, so a collision course shows early.

Alarms on any reading

Depth, wind, battery, tanks: pick a limit and get told.

It learns your boat and watches what's coming.

Performance polar

Learns how your boat really sails and tells you in plain words when a few degrees would make her faster or more comfortable.

Energy

Energy

Batteries, solar and shore power in one place, with straight answers: can I make water now, can I run the boiler, when will I need to charge.

Weather and storm alarms

Weather and storm alarms

Forecasts, wind alarms and a storm warning from your own barometer when the pressure starts to fall fast.

Every passage logged. And the people at home see more than a dot.

The app records each voyage by itself: track, miles and top speed. When you arrive, turn it into a short video to share. Followers see position, speed, course and wind live, straight from the boat's instruments.

Pájara → Sal Rei, October 2026, Goat 2.0. A real passage.

GOAT Device

The GOAT Device

The box that connects the app to your boat. It reads your instruments and power system on NMEA 2000, keeps the alarms running without internet, and sends the boat to your phone and your followers.

Power

From the NMEA 2000 bus, about 0.2 A. No other wiring, no extra fuse.

Read only

Writes nothing to NMEA 2000.

Connections

Its own hotspot for setup, then the boat Wi-Fi, including 4G or Starlink routers. USB and Ethernet.

Works offline

Alarms never depend on the internet.

Updates

Updates itself, or from a USB stick with no internet.

SeaTalk

SeaTalk NG with the adapter cable. SeaTalk 1 needs a converter.

Three steps to a connected boat.

Install the GOAT Device

Plug it into your boat's NMEA 2000 network. It powers itself from the bus.

Add your boat in the app

Sign in, name the boat, and the cards fill with live readings.

Bring your people aboard

Share the boat with crew, let family follow, and check in from anywhere.

The app is free on Android and iOS, and there is a web dashboard too.

Why Max built it.

Andrea and Camilla, the sailing creators aboard SV Julia, interviewed Max about how GOAT was born. Every feature was tested on a real passage first. In Italian.

Questions

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Instruments and alarms run on the GOAT Device and the boat Wi-Fi. You only need internet to see the boat from away.

Which instruments does it work with?

Any NMEA 2000 network: Garmin, B&G, Simrad, Lowrance, Raymarine and more. SeaTalk NG with the adapter cable, SeaTalk 1 with a converter. You see what your boat's sensors measure.

Is it hard to install?

No. It connects to the NMEA 2000 backbone with a T and powers itself from the bus. If you have no free T on board, add the connection kit when you order.

When will it arrive?

This is the pre-order of the first batch of 10 units: delivery in 4-6 weeks from your order. We aim to ship sooner and will keep you posted.

Who can see my boat?

Only the people you choose: crew get the full boat with alarms on their own phone, followers see position and how she is sailing.
